Music In My Deck and In My Head
Rarely am I without music playing in the background when I am folding laundry, answering email or what not. I have noticed that these songs have been in my playlist for a while now. Not only do I think they are beautiful but at times express my feelings better than my babblings. Anyway, I offer them here with their lyrics.
"How Soon Is Now?" - The Smiths
I am the son and the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
Of nothing in particular
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way?
I am Human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
I am the son and the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
Oh, of nothing in particular
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way?
I am Human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
There's a club, if you'd like to go
You could meet somebody who really loves you
So you go, and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home, and you cry
And you want to die
When you say it's gonna happen now
Well, when exactly do you mean?
See I've already waited too long
And all my hope is gone
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way?
I am Human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does

"Cities in Dust" - Siouxsie and the Banshees
Water was running; children were running
You were running out of time
Under the mountain, a golden fountain
Were you praying at the Lares shrine?
But oh your city lies in dust, my friend
We found you hiding we found you lying
Choking on the dirt and sand
Your former glories and all the stories
Dragged and washed with eager hands
But oh your city lies in dust, my friend
Hot and burning in your nostrils
Pouring down your gaping mouth
Your molten bodies blanket of cinders
Caught in the throes .......
And your city lies in dust

"True Faith" - New Order
I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
I don't care 'cause I'm not there
And I don't care if I'm here tomorrow
Again and again I've taken too much
Of the things that cost you too much
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...
When I was a very small boy,
Very small boys talked to me
Now that we've grown up together
They're afraid of what they see
That's the price that we all pay
Our valued destiny comes to nothing
I can't tell you where we're going
I guess there was just no way of knowing
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...
I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
The chances are we've gone too far
You took my time and you took my money
Now I fear you've left me standing
In a world that's so demanding
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...

"Sunrise" - Simply Red
As I look into your eyes I see the sunrise
The light behind your face sends me new vibes
{Sunrise}
We sleep and sometimes love until the moon shines
Maybe the next time I’ll be yours and maybe you’ll be mine
{Sunrise}
I don’t know if it’s even in your mind at all
Can we meet at this moment in time
Is it in your mind at all
It should be me, it could’ve been me
You’re mine forever...
Wonder if true life would have come home to you
And the love you want forever will make it true to you
We sleep and sometimes love until the moon shines
Maybe the next time I’ll be yours and maybe you’ll be mine
{You’ll be mine}
I don’t know if it’s even in your mind at all
Can we meet at this moment in time
Love’s indescribable
It should be me, it could’ve been me
You’re mine forever
Easy ready, willing overtime
Where does it stop, where do you dare need
to draw the line
You took my body, now you want my soul
Don’t even think about it, say no go
yeah...
{Sunrise}
I don’t know if it’s even in your mind at all
Can we meet at this moment in time
Is it in your mind at all
It should be me, it could’ve been me
You’re mine forever
{Sunrise}
At this moment in time
Is it in your mind at all
It should be me, it could’ve been me
You’re mine forever
Forever...
